Handling dogs at shows

Although I have only been going to dog shows for seven years, I enjoy handling dogs and besides handling my own deerhounds have had the pleasure of handling deerhounds owned by other people, including;

• Arvernien Arcturas, (sired by Grilse) to Best Puppy in Breed at Bournemouth Championship Show 2005
• Greyflax the Mighty Quinn to Best Puppy at Womwell Open Show 2006
• Lealla is Fearr to 2nd Post Graduate Bitch at Bournemouth Championship Show 2006
• Gentom Ovation to 1st Yearling Bitch and Best Opposite Sex at Driffield Championship Show 2006, also to 1st Post Graduate Bitch at Bath Championship Show 2007
• Gentom Peacemaker to 1st Puppy Dog at Blackpool Championship Show 2007

Over the last couple of years I have handled other “Gentom Deerhounds” for my friends Jean & Tom at various shows with some success. They have enlisted “DJ” their Grandson to handle their dogs as well. He handled “Gentom Peacemaker” at Crufts 2008 and won the Dog Challenge Certificate and Best Opposite Sex. WELL DONE Jean, Tom and of cause DJ !!

I have also handled;

• Bedlington Terriers & Rough Collies at Championship & also Open Shows
• Boxer, Shih-Tzu & Irish Wolfhounds at Open Shows
